Appointments
All our appointments are for ten minutes, and are for one person and preferably for one problem. You may book an appointment by phone, or by calling in. Appointments with the doctor are generally available up to four weeks ahead. If your preferred or usual doctor is not available for the time you wish to come you may be offered an appointment with another GP. Patients with an urgent medical problem will be given an appointment with the duty doctor for that session. These appointments should only be used for problems that will not wait and only for that problem.
Please note that several of our GPs work part-time so may not be available when you wish to come. Please help our staff to help you by seeing another doctor if that is the case.
If you unable to attend for an appointment, please remember to let us know so that we can make it available to somebody else
Appointments may be booked with the practice nurses for chronic disease checks (routine monitoring of blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, asthma and stroke patients), immunisations, travel injections, routine smear tests, wound dressing and stitch removal, ear syringing, dietary advice and new patient checks. Our health care assistant will see patients needing INR blood tests, blood pressure checks and other routine health checks.
For other blood tests not relating to anticoagulation treatment please phone 8831400 and speak to the health centre receptionists.

Telephone Advice
The best time to call the surgery for advice is after morning clinics, usually between 11.30 and 12 noon. If the doctor you wish to speak to is still busy they will call you back, provided you leave a phone number, preferably a land line.
